The trip was planned around our dear friend, Amanda’s 30th birthday. The best part was that we surprised her! She wasn’t expecting us and on her way to dinner we surprised her by waiting on the sidewalk. It was AWESOME! I love to surprise people! We enjoyed a dinner at Jekyll and Hyde. Afterwards, we ventured through Rockefeller Center to take photos with her and various “30’s” and then on to the lower East side for dessert.

The Dessert Truck is amazing! It was featured on Throwdown with Bobby Flay and they won! Their warm chocolate bread pudding with bacon crème anglaise is awesome! The crème brulee was one of the best I have had outside of Trav’s and mine. Everything is $5 and the city-feel of it made it all the better.

Afterwards, we enjoyed beers at Ace Bar and the Irish Pub. Then we retired to our room after an exhausting few days and traveling. Nighty night NYC.
Posts for each day to follow.
