Do two reds make a red?

It seems like every time we go out in public, someone tells us that we are going to have red headed babies. Ya think? It's odd really - perfect strangers walking up to us to tell us this - very odd!

Our question is - do two red heads really equal another one? None of our parents have red hair and the gene is sparse throughout our families. In mine, it skips a generation on both sides and on Travis' side, the same pertains. Who knows, and it will be quite some time before we find out.

However, on that note, people have made reference to Howie Long's new Chevy commercial saying our child will look like the child in it. So...does...

...equal this?
